Jordan Alonzo
Jordan was born in Berkeley and raised between Berkeley and Oakland. Growing up in a family where caring for children was always a part of life, she was inspired by watching her dad and sister work as preschool teachers. Her own journey in early childhood education began in Santa Barbara, where she worked with infants and toddlers before eventually moving to Long Beach. With years of experience working with young children, Jordan has developed a deep appreciation for the relationships, curiosity, and joy that make the early years so special.
As an educator, Jordan loves creating an environment where children feel safe, confident, and encouraged to be themselves. She enjoys getting to know each child’s unique personality, listening to their ideas, and watching their independence and confidence grow. She especially values the Reggio Emilia approach and its emphasis on creativity, exploration, relationships, and seeing children as capable individuals.
Outside of the classroom, Jordan loves spending time with her friends and family, going to concerts and sporting events, watching football, trying new restaurants, and finding new creative projects to get into.
